The Last 100 Years:  Political Agendas, Economic Policies, and Societal Issues


Deadline for all abstracts and proposals has been extended until Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11:59PM ET. 


The Association of Social and Behavioral Scientists, Inc. (ASBS) welcomes the submission of proposals for its 85th Annual Conference. This conference continues the legacy of ASBS in highlighting the work of social and behavioral scientists that addresses issues impacting people around the world.  “The Call” encompasses educational, social, health, psychological, economic, political, behavioral, agricultural, anthropological, philosophical, and other factors that impact and promote social change. 


Proposals are accepted for paper presentations, poster presentations, and roundtable discussions.


Proposals should be submitted as an attachment in Microsoft Word via electronic mail to the Program Chair, Dr. Timothy Moore, at AND no later than January 13, 2020 with the following information:


  1. Author(s) name with degree, affiliation (agency, college/university, etc.) and contact information (email address and telephone number)

  2. Title of proposal and 250 words abstract

  3. Specify if the proposal is for a paper presentation, poster presentation, or roundtable discussion.

  4. Students should indicate their college/university, department, classification, major, and research advisor.


For all submissions, please indicate the appropriate category in the email subject line: 

  • Professional Paper or Professional Poster or Professional Roundtable

  • Graduate Student Paper or Graduate Student Poster

  • Undergraduate Student Paper or Undergraduate Poster
